Simó Andreu

Actor (Sa Pobla, 1941)

When he was eighteen, without having finished his schooling, he moved to Madrid to start work. One day, one of his friends asked him to accompany him to some film studios. Simó agreed, without imagining that that afternoon would change his life. When they were at the studios, his friend mentioned to the director’s assistant that Simó had acted in amateur theatricals. It turned out that they were looking for an actor to play a small part in the film Historia de una noche. Simó agreed to audition and they hired him that same day.

Since then, this Mallorcan from Sa Pobla has taken part in some two hundred films, both Spanish movies like Una historia de amor, El buen amor, El sacerdote, Los placeres ocultos, El viaje a ninguna parte, and El mar, and big international productions like Goya's Ghosts, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, The chronicles of Narnia: prínce Caspian, and James Bond: Die another day.

During his career as an actor, Simó has also worked in Theater and in Spanish TV series like Un paso adelante, Sin tetas no hay paraíso, Amar en tiempos revueltos and Yo soy Bea.
